Denne Australske topvin Deaf Galah er opkaldt efter vinhusets maskot " Mick " som er en døv kakadue. Deaf Galah Vinen har en "fræk" kant med en charmerende og fuldendt duft og smag. Deaf Galah er en rødvin i absolut særklasse fra ADW ( Australian Domain Wines ) Drue: Syrah, Grenache, Merlot, Tempranillo Vol: 14,5% Deaf Galah *** 2008 Deaf Galah McLaren Vale Red The McLaren Vale region is famous for its excellent aspect and Mediterranean micro-climate whichn provides a consistency of quality that is renowned, particularly for red-wine making. This blend of selected vineyard McLaren Vale Shiraz, Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache highlights this quality and is an outstanding example of the wine-blending art. In making Deaf Galah we have made great effort to ensure textural and flavour characters are retained. Careful oak selection and handling has ensured that the rich fruit characters of the vineyards have been accentuated rather than covered. We use a second and third year French and American Oak as well as new Oak. Each varietal is individually fermented and aged and then each parcel is further ‘rated’ for inclusion in the primary blend. Once this blend is completed and returned to barrel for a period we are able to complete the final touches by the inclusion of even small parcels of each varietal that have been kept to one side. 2008 is the third release Deaf Galah. It is a blend of 32% Shiraz, 28% Tempranillo, 15% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Grenache . The wine has a natural alcohol of 14.5% which sits comfortably within the lush structure of this wine, adding and extra textural element. The result is the trademark Deaf Galah style, delicious mix of fresh, vibrant black and red berry flavours laced with a fine spice element and juicy mouth-feel. It has a delightful savoury finish that makes it a great drink now and over the next 5 years. Winemaker: Charles Wish
